"Love Trails - Respect Rules": With respect through the forest

13.08.2020 - 14:47

More and more people are currently spending their free time in nature and in many regions a real forest tourism can be found. As a result, there is an increasing number of conflicts between hikers, hunters, forest owners and the rapidly growing group of mountain bikers. For this reason, Europe's leading mountain bike magazine BIKE has launched the campaign "Love Trails - Respect Rules" together with its sister magazines FREERIDE and EMTB.

The aim of the campaign is to sensitize the mtb community for a respectful coexistence - six trail rules were set up by the three initiators for this purpose:

1 TRAILSHARING - Respect other trail users
2 NO SHORTCUTS - Stay on the paths
3 STAY SAFE - Ride in your comfort zone
4 RIDE FOR FUTURE - Leave no rubbish and no traces
5 NO NIGHTRIDES - Give the animals their rest
6 STOP BUILDING ILLEGAL - Legal tracks must be built!
